88 F150 Custom Fuel Line

Hey everyone,

Starting on the resurrection of this truck and I have a fuel leak.

It is coming out of the fuel line right as it touches the side of the truck right about the driver rear tire. It seems like someone patched the line before and it is leaking from the old patch. This truck sat for about 3 years before I cranked it up and drove it home.

It didn't leak until I filled it up with gas.

It is a rubber hose. Any ideas on how to patch it? Other wise, where can I get a rubber hose to replace it with?

I have no qualms replacing it, I just need to know what to replace it with.

Thanks,

Jeremy

So I got under it when I got home today, It is the plastic fuel line and it is a pin sized hole in the line that is leaking. I figured if I can get it clean I could epoxy it. What is the best kind to use for this sort of job?

If it were me I'd replace the run of fuel line. But I tend to be pretty conservative when it comes to leaks and gasoline.

I'd replace all of the fuel line. If you're having one issues already, there's no telling when another may pop up. You'd be best off the just replace it all. Fuel line is cheap.

Yeah it seems like that is the best way. Sadly my good jack broke down on me a few weeks ago. I have to find a good way to move the gas tank to drop it and replace that section of line. I just so happen to fill it up right before the leak popped up of course, So it is going to be heeaavvy.
