Is there any issues in taking my 2wd '73 long box and putting it on a 2wd short box frame. Other than the difference in box length? My other question is the short bed has bad rust on the sides and the cross beams under the bed. Can I cut down my long box or just try to rebuild the short box. I'm thinking either way is going to be a hard job. Anyone tackle cutting a long bed before and how did you do it? I found a web site that had rebuilt boxes once but can't find it anymore. Thanks in advance

 

Frame will swap but cutting the long box down is big job .I would try to repair the short box .
