What's up with the Check Ball in a Holley 94?

Model 7RT on a '49 flathead 8. There's the little check ball under the accelerator pump.

I removed the retaining ring for the check ball and had the bowl bead blasted but the check ball still won't come out. I've tried to blow it out with compressed air but wasn't too excited about the idea of taking a pick to it.

I assume it's supposed to move and I'd like to get it out so I can make sure the passage is completely cleaned out. The carb kit includes a new one.

Any suggestions from the more knowledgeable are appreciated.

Has it been really soaked in powerful carb cleaner? Lacquer thinner? Low pressure compressed air should do it. Is it possible it's the wrong ball, pressed into a hole too small? Tap on the bottom of the bowl right under it. (gently)

Ever-so-gently heat it after trying the above suggestions.

Thanks guys, I had it soaking in PB blaster but I always forget about heating stuff up (especially ironic lately since it's been -10 for the last 5 days)

Combination of PB blaster, heat, whacking on the back and scraping around it with a pick and it finally popped out.

Air pressure down the accelerator pump discharge usually works quite well. I usually get the ball to pop out with just WD-40 down said hole.
