I need some door - rocker panel measurements and seal width measurements.
If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. My gaps under my doors after these new rockers are in look awfully wide.
Can anyone give me about three measurements between the inner bottom lip of the door (where the seal sits) to the rocker. One on each end and one in the middle?
How thick is the replacement seal that goes around the door?
I am assuming the seal runs along the outer edge of the door where the skin folds over, right?
Again thanks for any info.

1956 yes.
Take your time. Thanks. It is raining like crazy here too.
Something else i am curious about is if the inside edge of the door is flush with inside of the pillars? Both front and rear. When i line my door up with exterior cab and cowl panels. The bottom of the doors are not flush with the inside pillars.

OK, I took a few measurements, eyeballed a few things. I'll try to keep it simple. I don't believe the passenger side structural door area of my truck has had any work done to it. The doors have been removed, painted, re installed and adjusted. I received a door seal kit with the truck and the quality was not the best, very stiff. I had installed the doors and they fit flush outside and very nicely. When I went back and installed these seals, I had to loosen the adjustments as the doors would not close. Even today, after a couple years, the doors take a lot of effort to close. (Side note: I used the hollow seals on my '73 doors and they close with the touch of a finger, no rattles.) If I had it to do over, I would have ordered the new hollow seals from MidFifty.
So now my doors fit with a slight, 1/16"--1/8", protrusion outside of the cab jams. At this point, I was more interested in the gap between the jams, front and rear, what you see outside, and they're pretty even.
The gap at the lower side of the door to the lower edge of the rocker is a wide inch. This is just an overlap. The lower seal retainer strip holds the rubber so the rubber just touches the rocker with a slight paper drag front to back. On mine, the clearance is greater at the rear, half inch maybe. Dimensions for this door seal retaining strip is on page 90 of MidFifty catalog. The seal does not come to the bottom of the door.
Inside, the door to the rocker panel gap is about half inch and parallel, front to back.
Inside, the door gaps are about half an inch, front, top and rear. The door does not come inside the jams, looks pretty sloppy here.
Fit and finish was not a top priority when Ford built these.
HTH.

Do these resemble your measurements at all?
This is roughly 3/4" off of the "bump out" on the rocker panel at the front of the door.
This is roughly 1" off of the bump out on the rocker panel at the back of the door.
Where does that seal from midfifty go? I assumed there was just one seal around the outer edge of the door. Does that retainer screw to the rocker or bottom edge of the door?
If anyone has any pictures of there seals could you please post them or pm me and text me some???
Thanks

DoSeal Retainer Strip, 1953-60 - Ford F-100 Parts
Go here, look at the three pictures and read the instructions. My SWAG is that you have no seal retainers. The seal goes into the retainer and not at the bottom edge of the door. The seal retainers were spot welded onto the door.

Ok that helped me some. I have aftermarket door bottoms on mine. No retainers.
I couldn't tell from the sketches...........does the seal on the bottom stick out horizontal or hang vertically? I am assuming vertically sense you mentioned the "paper drag" earlier?
Ax, any pics of a door bottom with a seal on it? Im heading to your pics to see what I can find.
