The rear frame was in pretty good condition considering its 60 years old.
I had 2 spots to repair where the leaf springs were riveted to the frame, the year of abuse on the farm took its toll.

With the narrow frame of the Ford, it gives me a lot of room on the outside of the frame. I decided to go with a parallel 4 link and panhard from Airassisted.com
Here is the beginning of mocking up the rear link.

Good !!! I'm Glad the rust is to a minimum, now are you saying you are gonna mark up for "Air Bags" or just an "Air assisted" ride ?? The repair on the frame came out Good, Clean.... and the Frame looks good too....

Yes, I am planning on Running a full Air Ride Suspension. I ordered Strong arms from Airassisted.com for Mustang II. I will be running Ridetech E3 Digital system, with Viair compressor. Well I waited for more parts, I boxed in the front frame section, and fixed my broken front body mounts.

Thanks. I got the mustang II from Welder Series. Great people to deal with Paul, has always been very helpful on my builds.

Once the front frame was cleaned up and boxed in nicely, it took no time to measure, and burn in my new hats. I ordered all the Ridetech parts from Airassisted.com .... I am running Strong Arms, Q-Series RQ shocks, Slam Specialties SS6 Air Bags. For Airmanagement, I got their E3 Controller with Ridepro Valves, and the New Blue tooth smart phone receiver. Hope fully I can get more into that next month. For now, I have to finish the suspension

Cool !!! Take your time with that suspension so it comes out good, that is gonna make such a difference in the ride it's gonna be ridiculous.... you cleaned up that frame and it looks good now what did you do ?? Did you just paint it up after clean up or did you use some type of POR 15 ?

Basically spent a few hours, grinding, sanding, then sprayed red oxide primer, black paint, and clear. Here is a taste, of how, I would like the whole truck to be one day.

Back to the frame work. Next, I have to change the tranny crossmember back to hold the T5 transmission.

I didn't have a detailed image of the gusset. So I just went and took one for you. Its a gusset for my Q-Series Shock, and Brake line holder.

My stock Exhaust manifolds are going to be a problem, they exit
right where my new cross member, and steering are.

So I ordered a set of Reds headers, that would exit back towards the peddle to solve this issue.
