Question on rear bearing replacement

I have 265k on my 2000 and i pretty much rebuilt the front end last summer but i got to thinking, i never really hear much about the rear bearings on these. Is this something that should be replaced or do they last quite awhile? I havent heard any bad noises from them but i haul some decent loads 8-12k every now and again. Is there a way to check these to see if there ready for replacement? Thanks

Its not that hard. I have a dually and was replacing the emergency brake shoes and one side had bad inter bearing I didn't even know about. I replaced races and bearing. Had the machine shop press in the races. went well, new inside seals as well.

They last a long time. Usually a bad bearing if run long enough will cause a wheel seal leak before doing any real damage. Bonanza must have caught his before that happened. Also then wheel movement from a bad bearing will cause unusual brake wear.
