Lifting the 1979 Bronco

I got some 35s and now I am installing a 4" lift.

I ordered:

4" Deaver Coil Springs

4 Skyjacker Nitro 8000 shocks

Sky shackle flip

Extended brake lines

4 degree C-bushings

Drop trac bar bracket

Drop radius arm bracket

Already have a drop pittman arm

I also ordered the H4 headlight conversion kit at Jeffs Bronco Graveyard while they had the 10% off.

So, let's take a look at the difference in coil springs. We have a 4" skyjacker/rancho/or Rough country lift spring, stock Bronco spring, then the Deaver coil spring (LEFT TO RIGHT)

The Deaver wins!

Now I jacked up the Bronco

Yanked it out

VERY VERY DIRTY AND RUSTY

Sprayed some Purple Power on it and pressured washed it.

Now tomorrow I will get some rust remover and spray the axle then paint it!

Awesome man! I am sure you did research on the shackle flip, it will move the axle 1.5" forward of stock. You can recenter this with an ORD zero rate, that is what I did.

Let me know how you like the lights. This is something I have wanted to do but wanted to talk to someone who actually tried it first.

Yes I am also interested in how much (if any) the lights work than sealed beams. Because for me this is not an inexpensive upgrade. I have 100W
road lights on the bumper but still would like more. The road lights do help to spot chuck holes and debris that the head lights over shine close
in front of me.

And I did a solid axle on my 1999 Bronco and used the same stuff here and didn't vibrate at all.

I have seen many lifted 4" and the slip yokes have been right in the workable zone on all but 1, and that was only the front.

I ordered the ORD zero rate. I shouldn't need no degree shims should I?

I didn't when we did the 1990 Bronco SAS and 9 inch rear but since this is a 1979 I was wondering.

You should not need them, it depends partially on how flat your springs are too.
If they are too flat you will still some shims.
