I have a 95 f150 4x4 and I also have a set of 20” wheels off of a 2012 Ram 1500 and from what I can tell they are the same bolt pattern has anyone ever tried to put ram wheels on a ford?

 

Your 95 has standard bolt pattern for sure and ram has metric....i think. Google the ram bolt pattern.
besides that the center hub is important...

 

I know old Dodge wheels fit, but about Pre 2000 or Pre 1994 even.

 

Take a piece of cardboard and trace the bolt pattern and center hub from the Dodge wheel. Then remove one of the wheels from your F150 and hold the tracing against the rim so you can get a visual idea of how well they match.

 

Even if the bolt pattern and hub opening are good the wheel offset(backspacing) is all wrong.

 

Hey, know nothing about backspacing but....

the specs for 2012 ram 1500 are 5x5.5” or 5x139.7 says BB wheels
and ford says the same for your truck.

so lugs will fit per this info.

Also ford says the offset is standard. This is the backspacing?

 

Wheel offset is where the hub mounting surface is in relation to the outer edge of the wheel. This vintage truck uses a wheel with the hub at the centerline of the wheel where as most modern vehicles have the mounting surface towards the outer edge. Backspacing is just another way to measure it. Because of the suspension design on these trucks any wheel used must have a neutral to negative offset depending on the overall wheel width.. the wider it is the more negative offset required. A wheel with a positive offset will limit turning radius and produce a lot of tire rub on the suspension components.
