mine didn't leak when I got her ..but after topping up nearly 3 gallons of fluids ....she pee's every place I park ..but then she did sit in a garden for 20 years ..
My truck is ALIVE. [ Christine], Please don't tell her I said that. She will sit in my drive way and not leak a drop. If I put her in my garage for a week and drive the mustang she will leak from my water pump, engine pan screw, front tranny seal, front drive line yoke plug and from my 9" third member seal. she makes funny sounds when I try to take someone else for a ride. SHE'S ALIVE I TELL YOU!!!.. Other than that I'll never give her up.
my newly rebuilt flatmotor was leaking and not always in the same spot. we think we isolated it to the oil return line that threads back into the block. won't know for sure until spring, when she comes out into the open for the season.
My tranny leaks after it cools. Changed pans, gaskets, still leaks some and will continue to leak until I get the truck high enough to find where. If I had to guess its probably the pump gasket, as I think the trans shop reused my gasket when they checked my work after my rebuild. Oh well I don't sweat the small stuff,it runs great.
My O/T truck always has leaked from a cam cover on the back of the block, not a huge enough amount to do anything about it but I always had one of those big pans under it. After the drive to TN/KY, it doesn't leak a drop!! Not complaining about that...
No, my truck doesn't leak at all, because it has a Chevy in it. LOL! (ducking for cover)
But my van leaks like there is no tomorrow...yep, it's a Ford van.
I still love it, though it makes a mess over our concrete.
I don't know if these two things are related or not but there frequently seams to be a few drops of blood under the truck when I work on it. Do you think blood thinners may have anything to do with that?
well all c4s leak after they sit for awhile and flatheads with the original draft tube will drip oil out of that when ya first shut them off. Now it I could get the axel seal on the 9in to stop leaking id be happy happy happy.
If it drips or leaks a bit of oil of one kind or another I catch it or soak it up. But I do really like to keep the brake fluid inside where it belongs.
