Softest riding lift kits

Hello just wondering who makes the softest riding lift kit for my 2003 supercrew? I want to put some 35"s on it but I don't want a F550 ride. Any feedback or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Nome of them are going to improve the ride of your truck. How big of a lift are you wanting? 4" I'm guessing. If you put a lift with bigger tires and stay with 16" rims you'll find it will ride 10x better then if you went with the same 35s and 20" rims due to the side wall flex. If you're anything like me you'd make your own lift with airbags which I'm in the middle of making a parts list.

Ya the truck has 17"s on it and I plan on keeping them. Was thinking of a 6" lift. Are you planning on using springs and air or just air? Thanks.

I have a '03 250 and I put a full 6" BDS spring lift on it with 35s. The truck rides like hell unless I have a lot of weight on it. The BDS lift is great if you haul a lot. Doesn't sag the suspension when hauling. I have considered going to a different brand front springs wondering if that would help. I know lift kits make a truck ride rougher but the kit makes your truck feel anything and everything. Maybe someone will comment on other lift brands and how they ride. Id be very interested in buying a different brand if I know they would help.

Rough Country came on mine.
I aired the 10 ply tirez down to 53 from the factory recommended 55 in front and 50 in the rear when empty from the 70.

Tire pressure will play a big roll in any situation. If you have an on board air system like I will it won't be a big deal but if you tow often and want a comfortable ride while you're not towing you'll have to air up and bleed your tires down often. For now I have a BDS lift too.... Whatever you do on a heavy truck don't cheap out on shocks....

If and when you change tire size the door sticker is then irrelevant. The only way to know tge right amount of air to put in the tires then is to snap a chaulk line across the tires and drive 50 feet stop and check the marks if the line is evenly wore across the tire you're good. If it's not even adjust accordingly

I installed a 6" pro comp lift on my 86 F150 a few years ago and man does it ride rough. Wonder how big of tires I can fit under my 2003 now? I have a 3" body lift already. I spend a lot of time in the pastures and really don't want a rough truck.

I know of a hand full of guys running 37" tires on 6" lifts. I'm not sure if they had to cut to make them work but I had to cut my fenders, flares and bumper on my 38s which are a stupid wide 15.5".

i have never seen or heard of a "soft" lift kit. they all stiffen up the suspension and make it ride harder.

I would think 35's would fit with a 3" body lift. My uncle has a 03 on 35's with only a 3" level

I wonder why? Probably because of axle wrap on the rear maybe? It's to bad just because I want larger tires doesn't mean I want a stiff ride. Oh well might have to sacrifice a little ride quality.

It has nothing to do with axle wrap. It comes down to the springs. The bigger bow in the springs makes it harder to compress.

yup. the larger the lift, the harder it becomes to compress the springs.

Makes sense. On another topic does anybody know how big of tires my truck can handle? Was thinking of 35-10.50s. Keep in mind I will be staying out of the mud and will be mostly in the deep snow. I think it has a aluminum case 8.8 in the front and a 9.75 in the rear. Thanks for the help.
