OT 6.0 question

Do the 6.0s have CPS problems like the 7.3s? My neighbor has a 6.0 and described to me what it was doing, and sounds exactly like when our CPS is going/gone bad. He said it would quit going down the road, then start back up while rolling....been doing that for a while. Then the other day it quit and would not start back up.

No they don't Bill. I asked that question in the 6.0 section and was told they don't have CPS issues like the 7.3

Ok, I wasn't even sure if they had a cam position sensor or not. Aaron said he knows they have a crank position sensor, but unsure about the cam position sensor. Thanks!

What about crank position sensor issues? I know they have a crank sensor. Thats the end of my wanting to have anything to do with any 6.0 lol

The have a cam and crank sensor.

You need to see what HPO and FICM voltage is doing

He also said after going down a long mountain and getting back on flat ground at the bottom, it would start missing and running rough. My cousin told him that was bad injectors.

Our 6.0s at work would do things like that when the FICM was bad or headed that way.

Ya. Fuel Injection Control Module is just the IDM. Theyre one of the biggest issues on the 6.0l.

FWIW, I had a 6.0 do the shut-down start-up routine too. Usually you'd hit a bump or a bridge joint and it would shut down. Turned out to be bad/burnt injector wiring harness. I wanna say it was the valve cover gaskets. I don't remember since it dropped a valve and grenaded itself not long after that.
