pinion angle 52 f3

Considering putting a 14 bolt chevy under stock f3.i will have to relocate the spring pads. What angle do i need to set the pinion at? Do you use a angle finder? Where can i find new spring pads at? I probably destroy the old ones removing them. Thanks for the input.

It should match the output angle of the transmission . If you grind the welds off the existing saddles you should be able to remove them and reuse them . However if they have been mangled with a torch (no offence intended) then you will need to find some new saddles .

Thanks.I will compare my trans angle.I have not removed anything from either truck yet.I will look at grinding saddles off of the original axle so they will fit my original springs.

I ground mine off the sterling 10 1/4 with a well used cut-off wheel so I could follow the curvature. Welded back on real nice. Much better than ordering new ones and waiting. (and getting the bill).....my .02
