Boy does time fly

Was in the middle of a house remodel when I picked It up, House is now rented and I’ve moved twice. Currently doing repairs on my house. I’ve dedicated alternate weekends to what I want to do vs home/honey do list. I’d keep going full bore on those until I’m finished, problem is the last few years have shown me those lists will never end and I’d spent all my time doing chore work.

Truck is pretty much sitting as pictured. Im keeping the big truck look, cab markers, side mirrors, 8 lug.

Things I’ve done so far

1) Freed engine, 1 gal of marvel down the plugs, over a period of ?.. don’t remember...
2) Freed rear passenger wheel (frozen wheel cylinder)
3) rebuilt carb (last weekend)
4) new fuel pump (earlier tonight)

Started and idled for the first time tonight.

I’ve had a lot of time to think about what I’m going to do. A frame off restomod is in the works.

Staying with the 8RT. Switching to an AOD, Dana 60 and hanging brake. Suspension will get Sids 3” drop axle and posey springs, rear will have leafs removed for the rake I want. Front will get the tsmmfg disk kit. ill add shoulder belts for safety and that’s about it. I have an idea on paint color, but haven’t settled on it yet.
