Guys no fighting now. I talked to that guy 6 months after his dad died, he just wasn't ready to sell anything at that time. So I could've been 1st years ago!!! LOL

In fact his dad had a rare b model mack with integral sleeper sitting in the field in front of the barn when I looked at some stuff he had.

WANTED!
I am looking for two items. First- I need a good drivers side running board for an f700 - f900. Next- I am on the hunt for a good set of rear fenders from a fire truck body to use on my wrecker. Anybody have one of these stripped down and not being used?

Anybody have a line on any of these parts? Funny thing is, somebody somewhere ether had or has a whole bunch of these running boards. Do you know how many fire trucks I have looked under and found that the original running boards were removed when the fire body was installed? Who's got 'em??????????? Would be ashame to find out they were scrapped!

You proabably should try this. Although I doubt you will find and real good
F700 thru F900 running boards. We use late ones, very late ones. You will
have to trim off about an inch on the top of the splash pan. We migged up
the four mouting holes (their about a 1/2 off). The F900 in my avitar has
them from I think a 199? F650. Can you tell its (not origional) I cant.
I have two from a 1969 & a couple from a 1978 F600 all look the same.
Even our new town trucks look the same, ya just gotta tweak em a little.
click on my garage-you have to roam around there a bit, theres a good
side veiw of these. Even I have trouble finding a pic. Its like a hidden
box to click on to show all, but its in there on truck #28.

click a pic to make em bigger

Thanks. By the way, I have long admired your trucks long before I joined the group. I would frequent the forums for information for building mine. I have an 87 f700 that I could rob the running boards off of if it comes to that. I do have a few origional's. I have a very nice Drivers side running board that I purchased from a gentleman in OHIO awhile back, but my best passengers side has a considerable amount of pitting from heavy rust. It was under a diamond plate overlay for a fire truck and moisture sat trapped between the two layers. Yours do look good! Thanks again for the suggestion. I am not at a point where I have to have them now, so I will hope to find a set or at least a pass. side one in good shape. Pass side is likely to be the hardest to find not all bent up from running in to unseen objects.

Nice work! Your attention to details is really paying off. Looks like the factory Colonial Yellow.
