you are going to have to pull the hub and look at the components to see what it wrong.

I take it that it won't even turn? (the hub)

The hub turns, everything is there I drive the truck daily . I bought it used and he td me it worked but the truck had been sitting. So I got stuck and went to lock them in a bam no 4x4. I can take the hub apart and lock the gear in by hand but it only holds for a min. It's like it's not reaching something when I lock it in..

how do all the teeth look on the hub? it sounds like it might be stripped if it holds for a second and then lets go. or there is something internally broken inside the hub.

Nothing's broke I have had it apart and that's why I'm so confused. like I said it's like something's not reaching. Could it be the guy I bought it from used the wrong greese in it or? One day it went in but as soon as I gave it a shot of gas I heard a loud bang but I still didn't see anything broke. Like I can push the gear in by hand and it works for a bit

wonder if the wrong hubs for the application maybe? Confirm with Warn that they are the correct hubs if you can find a part number. Since you have had them apart go over the parts list with Warn as well.

I got the 4x4 working.. Took the hub apart and cleaned the whole thing tore it down made sure everything worked .. What it was is the clip that is on the back wasn't put on right and was letting one of the gears slide to far and not letting another ketch. Put it all together and greased it and tryed it .. It finally works. But for how long I don't know but I hope it works
