OT--I still miss one of my heroes

I was watching something on youtube when this video caught my eye. First, skip straight to the 5:15 mark and start watching (the first two segments are pretty boring). THIS is why this guy was a hero to a lot of us. Who cares if it's a Chevy. He had a gazillion dollars and was the best ever, but he was still just an everyday hard-nosed gearhead who was more than a pretty boy with a nice pair of sunglasses. I wish he had lived. I get the feeling we would have seen a lot more of this after he retired. This footage was shot just a few weeks before he died.

Thanks, Doc... I hope this isn't sacrilegious here on FTE, but I have a soft spot for 57 Chevys. The first car I owned myself, bought with my own money was a 57 Bel Air, 2 door sedan. This is a nice one, 210 model and the color was called Canyon Coral.

Cool video. It's nice to know that folks like him understand the importance of finding a car that just needs to be kept original. You can tell he was just another car guy like us. That's refreshing in this day and age.
