Excellent build and write up too. I love seeing people take vehicles that might otherwise be scrapped and fixing them up like this. Reps sent.

Yeah I was going to do that when I get it done. That'll clean the edges up nice.

Even though it had the plow mount until I bought it the truck hadn't had a plow mounted on it in the last 10 years. It also was used lightly before that so there wasn't much of any sag to the front end.

Btw, is your name in reference to American Motors? My first car (and 2nd and 3rd) were AMCs and I'll always have a soft spot for them.

Because my first several vehicles were AMCs. My first car (which I still own) was an '84 Eagle wagon. I also owned a 360 powered '83 Spirit, a '76 Gremlin, and 4 other Eagle wagons. My girlfriend at the time also had an Eagle wagon. My buddy had over 20 AMCs. Before they all died up here in WNY he and I owned or flipped quite a few.

Had my buddy at work cut the holes and tapers on the push bar side plates with the waterjet. Also cut my initials into the sides for fun.

Mill scale ground off getting ready for tubes.

Here is the lower tube/receiver mount.

I'll add the receiver last.

Here the tubes all cut and tacked in place.

1 1/2" tube on top, 2" in the middle.

Smart move putting a receiver on it, you never know when that will come in handy.

Haven't made much progress on the truck. I did get it running and pulled outside so I could work on a couple of other projects. Even though the flatbed isn't painted or have a complete deck on it I already put it to work.

Rusty cab off the Super Duty from the previous page.

Still haven't been able to do much on the truck due to other projects and the SD cab on the back, but did make some progress. I got the Alcoas mounted up over the weekend.

I also got the brush guard painted and installed with the hitch.

With the 285/75R16s the truck towers over my 2WD F250!

I just got the SD cab off the back yesterday so hopefully I can get back on finishing the truck this weekend.

You want to talk about towering, the roof of my 98 is about even with the bottom of the windows of my 90. I think people that argue lifted/lowered are silly. Have one of each!

Keep the updates coming. I like this build a lot.

Been a little while since I updated, but other projects and work got in the way. Anyway, I finished the wood in the flatbed. It's treated 2x8s.

The rear light panel installed with trailer plug and mud flaps.

And the first time on the road. Don't mind the step on the bumper guard. I was using it to work under the hood. It won't be installed most of the time.

With new side panels. The wood will all be painted gloss black as soon as it dries out a little.

Spare tire mounted.

Painted floor. Sides are next.
