My 1983 F-250 project.

Well I haven't really posted much on here in a while. I just picked up a 83 F-250 Ext. Cab, 4x4 roller. The truck is really solid for its age and had a lot of work done to it already. My plans are to restore it and repower it with a Cummins. Here are some pics of progress.

The front cab mounts need to be replaced on the cab and small sections of front floor pan.

These are a few of my past trucks.

Does anyone know of a place to find the lower door trim for the passenger side?

Good deal I'm friends with all the automotive teachers. I'm in and out of that shop a lot. I saw your uncles build. I'd love to find a set of Hurricanes for mine. I eat lunch in the maintenance shop right across the hall from the automotive lab everyday.

Well did a little bit of work today to the truck. I pulled the doors off and was able to get some help to lay it on its back. The front cab mounts are gone and part of the front floor pan is rotted. I'm going to pressure wash the bottom side when I can get the garden hose thawed out.

Nice project, your old blue one had a similar setup as my 85. Don't put those flexy fender flares back on though. I had them and they looked good when new but they rusted the fenders so fast you wouldn't believe it.

So I pressure washed the bottom of the cab off. The front two mounts will get ordered soon unless I find something in the junkyard.

Can anybody tell me the difference in widths between a cab and chassis rear and a single wheel rear? The cab and chassis rear is a 96.
