38 gallon gas tanks
#16
Thanks everyone. I have a few more questions, so I'm glad I posted. Seems like I wasn't the only one with questions, though I have yet to get a chance to investigate the underside of the truck since my first post.
Arcade, I'm in Tampa with family up in northeast Florida southeast georgia, but probably still too far to swap.
I'm with Mixwizard-anyone got any info on these skid plates? Though the '76 is admittedly a mall cruiser. I have a beat up rusted out '79 to play around in.

The '78-'79 Broncos will work. I THINK the bullnose Broncos would work too, but I don't know that for a fact. I put a 38 gallon tank in a '66 F150 with the factory skid plate, but you can't go by that since the chassis was a complete custom job. I used the '66 side rails with the Bronco crossmembers and suspension.
