Seam sealer on roof

Today when I was waxing the roof of my truck, I seen some dirt along the seam when I used my fingernail to scrape the dirt out of the groove, some paint scraped off of the seam sealer/caulking. Anybody experience this?

Which plant was your truck built in? Mine was built in the Kansas City plant, and from my googling there was a problem with the seam sealer becoming contaminated before paint.

My problem was bubbles in the paint along this seam. I showed the dealer and try took pictures and sent it to Ford. Less the 20 minutes later Ford emailed them approving the repair under warranty. They basically stripped the paint from the channels, cleaned the area and reprinted. That was done almost a year ago and the new paint has no bubbles, matches nicely, and is showing no other problems.

Have you shown this to your dealer, center97? I'd recommend bringing this to their attention so they can check it out. Keep us posted on what you hear.

Yes, they said it shouldn't get any worse and it's just on the seam not the metal area. They recommended putting touch up paint on the area. I'm not sure what to do! Part of me doesn't want to push the envelope for fear of breaking the factory paint!

I would just touch it up. As long you dont have cracks or separation in the sealant it shouldnt give you problems. I see it often that is usually several years old and it doesnt cause problems, even when its cracked.
