If you sign up on the three year plan you are legitimately entitled to a tee shirt. However, you must fill out a form to obtain it. The destructions state something like the form will be emailed to you but it seems that sometimes that may not succeed fully (fully succeed? - stupid cell phone chell speckers). However, one may follow the link in the above post to get access to said form.
