mounting a gm alternator to flathead v8

I am wanting tocmount a gm alternator to my 52 flathead v8 f3,original engine, pulleys, water pumps.I have seen several aftermarket brackets, but they seem to hint at a car application. Will these work on my truck setup? All of the original brackets are there, any ideas on modifying these?

Welcome to the club . All the aftermarket mounts I have seen are much the same just a choice of paint grade or really crappy chrome .

You may consider this package from MAC'S auto parts. I have it on my 1949 F1, and it was a great addition. It is internally regulated, so you don't have to worry about finding a place to mount one. I am sure that they can just sell the mount if you already have the alternator. Good luck!

I bought the bracket and alternator from these folks a few years back and it fit and worked perfect. Ford Flathead 1933 53 Alternator Conversion | eBay

your pulley will fit on gm alt.
I grinded the mounting locations off my gm alt and kind of rounded off the whole alt.
then i made a new strap for the orinaginal location cause the original gen is smaller in diameter .
will try to post a pic later
