What a waste of good sheet metal.

I think the worst part was the camera work. Not exactly a videographer was he?

One would think he would at least cover the Nova setting to to this mess rather than throw sparks and grinding debris at it.

How would you ever finish the plastic dash to the cab and make it look good? Throw a bunch of bunch of fiberglass at it?

I would have rather seen keeping it orig, looks like it was all there. I've re-covered and converted dashes before by riveting a metal plate in openings, glue foam over and cover in leather.

Well I've finally found the hacks who built my 50 before I bought it. At least the guy's girlfriend is pretty hot.

The girlfriend is why the old guy keeps the young guy around. It's not for his lifting ability, because he's not lifting much.

Let's put the body on... oops it doesn't fit! Get the saws all, that 'll fix it!

Do they ever finish it? Looks like they may already be loosing interest!

We can chop up a truck but we can't build a simple hoist to lift the cab in place. I hope the project was aborted shortly after that video was taken and any useable truck parts went on to serve other trucks in need.

It was a 5 star cab too, looks like nice windshield trim

The topping on that was the kid going and grabbing the sawzall. Why didn't he just grab the bottom of the cab and tug, since the floor is gone there should be room to tweak it.
"I'm going to lift this cab while standing on the frame." Genius!

This is why AX is so against frame swaps.
Dang, I though I did stuff poorly.

Anyone wanna bet he doesn't know how to read or even owns a tape measure? Sure didnt use it here. I guess the oversized floor pan from the donor 96 can function as "special integrated running boards"
I cringe thinking about hacking this or that to fit or the fact that it may be on the road at some point. sawzalls and prybars, sheesh.

She was kinda hot though.

One thing for certain, they aren't too smart. I love the way they tried lifting the cab - lets grab near the front where there isn't much weight and just keep trying even though the back of the cab isn't lifting... I guess that is why the video ends where it does, they never did get the back where it should be so they just cut more of the front off. What a waste of nice sheet metal.

I've seen some nice trucks built by using the donor truck firewall and floor. But first off this guy started with a chevy that was his first mistake. I've seen this done on a few Explorer chassis'. And it turned out pretty nice. You get the drive ability of the late model with the looks of the classic.

But trying to use the late model dash in the early trucks just doesn't look right to me.
