f1/f6 fenders

So I have a vague memory about someone telling me about the bigger trucks like the f6`s that the fenders are wider that the f1s?
Fact or fiction what sat ye?

The fenders being wider is fiction. F-1 thru F-6 fenders are all the same size. The difference is that the wheel openings are much larger on the F-2 and larger trucks from the F-1's. This is true for all the 48-52 trucks. F-7 & 8 trucks do have wider fenders than the others, so perhaps that's where the confusion lies.

Ok thanks how's the weather over in that part of the state?

Do you think a f7 f8 fender would bolt on to a f1?
I need a wider fender to clear my front wheels or I`m going to have to go with a different front clip.

A little breezy here tonight. Starting to feel like fall. Where are you from?

What front clip do you have? F7-8 fenders have ginormous wheel openings compared to an F1, so even if the fenders would fit, you'd have to do some serious surgery to make them look right. I thing they'd look very strange.

I knew a guy who used the F-7/8 fenders on his F-2/3 plow truck because he used a modern chassis and needed the wider fenders to cover the wider track of the newer chassis' wheel. There is also a member here is building a smaller truck with wider fenders. I don't remember who it is, I don't think he's posted for a long while.

This isn't the member I was thinking about but it's a good example of someone using F-7/8 fenders on a smaller truck.

I`m in Puyallup and the truck is a 50 f1 with a mild chopped roof and raked windshield and a 70 Nova front clip.
