2012 F250 Vibration when idle while in gear
OK.. my F250 FX4 is about 10 months old. Already there are times when the vehicle feels like its 10 years old by the way if feels when idleing and accellerating. Here are my issues;
1. Vibration felt through seat when idleing (when in gear). It just feels like a badly tuned engine or old vehicle. This is not all the time, but I would say 70% of the time its very noticeable.
2. Annoying drone (sharper more pernounced drown when accelerating 1500-2000rpm, then disapears beyond 2000rpm). Drone vibration can be felt through seats.
3. Seems to be lag with the accelorator resulting in an overall sluggish feel to the truck. When pressing down on the pedal, there seems to be a slight delay before the RPMs are increased. On a couple of occassions there was about a 1 to 2 second delay - enough time to give you the impression the truck was stalling.
Overall, the truck feels very old and tired compared to a similar HD dodge. I say this becuase I just rented a newer HD2500 from an out of town business trip and noticed the dodge felt WAY more responsive, where the F250 felt tired and sluggish in comparison.
I will be taking my truck in for service, but first I want to see if these are somewhat normal.

My truck seems to be smooth all the time while driving, no vibrations or wird drones felt. Hopefully the dealer will find something and fix it for you. Unfortunately if the engine light is not on they like to play the "that's normal"card. You could also take another one for a test drive for comparison to see if it really is "normal".

Maybe it's your throttle body sticking. Mine has no issues yet.
I have no trouble putting a Dodge in my rear view mirror.
