No exhaust manifold gasket on right side leave it or fix it?

Hey guys Scrobbie again I have my ole gray 88 which some of you know it runs pretty darn good thanks to your guys' help but im just wandering should i go ahead and put a exhaust manifold gasket on the right side? The reason the left side is on there, is because i had to replace the manifold. Due to a crack so should i Fix it let me Know. Thanks.

They must come factory without the gaskets. I did head gaskets on my 351 and neither manifold had gaskets! Neither one leaked either but since I had the heads out, I put some gaskets on them.

Is yours leaking? I don't like to fix things unless they are broken. Unless it is leaking, you are bored with a few extra bucks to burn...go for it!

Ford never put gaskets on the manifolds. They used chassis grease in a think film which was baked into a varnish sealing them. If you manifold is not leaking there is no reason to put a gasket in there.
