Turbo charging a 1994 f150 4.9 300

hey everyone, I know some of you have turbo charged these engines and wanted to know what I would need to run only 6 psi of boost for now. So far I have a Turbo that came off a 5.9 Cummings 12v. Would I need bigger injectors? head work? my truck is a 94 f150 with 402,293. miles on the odometer, with the 4.9 300. best gas engine ever put in. a f150

This makes War and Peace look like an afternoon read:

Easy to say, harder to do. On a truck with that many miles, imo not worth the time & $. Ymmv.

Holy smokes that's a lot of miles. I have a 96 4.9 turbo, I would say:

bigger injectors - yes.
head work - no.
The only easy way to get the fueling close on a speed density truck is with a rising rate FMU - and it won't get the same fuel economy with that sort of clunky mechanical solution.

I'd probably look into doing a rebuild with a slightly bigger cam and a roller rocker conversion, it would pull nearly as hard and you could probably get another 200,000 miles out of it.

There's a few guys in this thread that have made some really good progress with their turbo setups. May want to get in contact with them:
