What carburetor is this
I recently bought a 1960 Ford F600 grain dump truck with a 292 Y-block. After replacing the intake manifold gasket, I could not get it to idle, or run smoothly at all. It has a 2 bbl marked Motorcraft with 1.21 in the circle. The stamp on the drivers side mounting flange is 6WF A. There is a paper sticker on the top of the float bowl that could possibly say 13, but I won't bet my life on it. There is also an FE stamped vertically just to the right of the fuel inlet.
I have been unable to ID this carb other than it looks like a 2150, but there are many different 2150 rebuild kits at Mike's Carburetor Parts. Any idea which model it is?
Thanks for your help,
Neal

I can't help with the carb but perhaps with more clarification we can help find the true cause of your problem.
You say after replacing the intake gasket it would not idle or run smoothly. Then is the assumption correct that it did idle and ran smoothly before you changed the intake gaskets? No other changes were made?

I wouldn't go as far as to say the engine ran smoothly, but it did idle. The reason I replaced the intake manifold gasket was because of a major exhaust leak. The carb mounting nuts were all finger tight so there had to be vacuum leaks. After putting it all back together, the exhaust leak is gone, but it will only run at about half throttle, and even then it has a misfire. I'm pretty sure a carb rebuild is the next logical step.

Gotta Fish Carburetors: Autolite 101
Sounds like you have an Autolite 2100. This chart may help. The 1.21 was originally put on 351's and I've seen them on 360's as well. If you engine is stock, you gots too big a carb. You can either swap to a set of 1.08's or find one with them and keep this carb if you plan on putting ram horn exhaust and maybe a mild cam in it.
