F150 XLT fender emblem

I just bought a used 2001 F150 4.6L I noticed on the fender Emblem the Letters XLT are pink. Does anyone know of the signicance of this?

Sun fade or someone painted it that way.

I thought that too at first but when I look closer both sides are the same and color is uniform. I think it came from the factory like this or somebody bought and installed an aftermarket emblem.
