Hi I have a 70 custom a very nice original truck and I would like to redo the tailgate letters but I am unsure of the color I can see white paint still on them but also some red and I can not figure out which is correct.
Any help is appreciated.

 

2x.. my "New Lime" 70 had brick red letters. I think because it has a parchment interior and white with a light color may have not had enough contrast... dunno, that's a wild azz guess.

 

My truck was the same color as yours with a darker green interior ,the tailgate letters were white. HIO Silver's were red and i'm with him as far as a wild guess goes. You'll need one of forum paint guru's for this one. Good luck

I don't think it's primer personally.

 

Do they make a stencil kit cause if I keep mine painting the letters is a must do.
