Hello all....first post

My 2008 Expedition's Hazard lights are acting up. They basically come on randomly. Sometimes hitting the button will shut them off again, sometimes it won't.

I presume this is a failing switch or relay, but I'd appreciate some guidance from anyone that has experienced a similar problem.

the hazard lights are run from the switch, through the smart junction box, and then out to the bulbs. the smart junction box, previously called the GEM module, is still a module that controls voltages and therefore replaces the conventional flasher aspect of the signal/hazard bulbs. i don't think there are any relays or flashers involved, so i would guess it is either the switch on the dash, but potentially the smart junction box is failing.
