Good morning all. Saturday I get to do the junkyard crawl at my favorite yard and then go give an estimate on a 65 Coupe color change from white to black. A buddy's dad bought it back when we were in high school and it hasn't been outside unless it was a pretty day. Buddy's dad died and my another buddy bought it as none of the kids had an interest in it. I hope it is as solid as I remember it. Camaro is gone and K2500 is going home this weekend.

TCopp, if I wasn't so busy, I'd offer to lend a hand. I too live in KC.

RC. The trans is already completely unhooked except the mount and shift linkage.

Rich said he has and engine plate. As far as the trip up, I'm gonna see about borrowing a truck from the lot. A crew cab with with a good heater and stereo would be the ticket to ride up there.

Well, I had a hell of a day, today. I got the frame cut on the donor truck and then trimmed down and ready to splice into the new truck. I also got the new truck almost ready to start to fit the new crossmember. This will be a MUCH nicer repair than trying to straighten the old, mangled crossmember. The downer for the day was, Ka'Bluey left me sitting. The gas gauge quit working at some point yesterday and with over 1/4 tank showing on the gauge, I ran it dry. He left me sitting 1/8 mile from Alice, so I just ran back and jumped into her to get to work. Then I went back and threw a splash of gas in him and parked him at the shop.

I also got under Alice today to see what's up with her. The shock mount that was cracked before, broke completely, so I welded that back together as best I could. It'll hold until I get a new one. The big problem with her is the rear. The carrier in the rear differential is coming apart. Apparently, the rear has a leak. ....and it leaked all the gear oil out and I didn't notice it until now.

Haven't been on in a day or two, Alan, prayers for the brother in law, hope he's doing okay. Sounds like you've had more than your share of moandays this week, at least tomorrow's Friday!! On an unrelated subject (FORD truck related though). I 'saved' this to my computer a while back from Spacebook & thought y'all might want it. I can usually get you in the decade ('50s, '60's, or '70s), not as good on the exact year though.

Alan I have a good shock mount for you and you want the rear carrier out of the bronco too? That will require a little pre planning for the skid steer.

I bet it is a ground problem on Kabluey's gauge....hopefully. It was not even plugged in at all, last time I fixed it, lol.

That'd be nice, since I'm a novice at everything, but it's all good man.

Good Morning Everybody!

Rich. Don't I already HAVE the center section out of the Bronco? I got it when I did the gear swap and gave you back the 4.11 posi unit.

RC. Might as well meet here. I'll have coffee ready and it's a couple miles closer for you.

I thought I'd get into the lights on the truck last night. I had to laugh. Every socket I pulled out was was CAKED with mud. The lenses are in really nice shape, but it took me a little while to clean them out. The bulbs were all broken and the sockets were disintegrated. ...I guess I found the problem! The wiring out of the firewall all checks good, but from the square connector out it's all trash. I guess I have to make new stubs to go out to the lights. At least that should be an easy fix. I'm toying with the idea of putting strobes in the parking lights eventually. I think it would look cool.

Oh yeah! RC. I guess that's why you thought I had the wrong hood on my truck.

My truck was right, ...but your's wasn't!
