Best "smooth ride" shock for a 96 Explorer XLT

Hi everyone... I spend most of my time over at the 7.3 form for my f-250, but my dad has a question... what would be the best "smoth-ride" shocks for a 96, at a resonable price... Billensteen and koni's are very expensive, and he doesn't need that.... He doesn't want it to ride like an old caddy, but he does have to tame all the pot-holes going into boston every day!!! thanks guys!!

Though I prefer Bilsteins, many on this forum have said good things about the Monroes both the Reflex and Sensatracs.

I have a 99 sport and put the Sensatraks on. While the highway riding got a lot better I didn't notice that much of a change in the city, cracks and potholes included. If you are going with the Monroes try the Reflexs.
