56 F-100 build

I am building my 56 from the ground up. It is currently toren apart down to the frame. I have a 05 crown vic that i will be taking the front end Motor and wireing harness from and that will give me my rolling chassis. I decided I would make a thread for my build snice it seems there are not a lot that are using the crown vic. The project will be under way in about two weeks after I recover from getting my wisdom teeth yanked from my head.
My idea for the truck is too build it with out using a bunch of kits from diffrent mags, i want it to be a beautiful daily drivier that is practical and bad *** at the same time. I am excited for this build and i hope there are a few other people out there that will gain some info and help me as well along the way. Party on.

Welcome to the best forum ever for what you are planning. Lots of advice and even a little help here - lol. We'd love see some photos of what you are up to and someone may be along soon to give you the long version on how to post 'em.

Now that you have started an official build thread you need to post some starting photo's.

Again, welcome to the madness.

Oh and if I can get that lengthy explanation on how to post a picture that would be great. I have the mobile app so if some one can help me there that would be wonderful, I see the plus sign at the top of the scree and it's asks for a URL and I've no idea what to do from there. Thanks!

Here is a back picture of my crown Vic I picked up at the auction I went to in Seattle. There was about 45 that were up for auction. They all went for 1700 plus. I am sitting in the stands sweating worried I am not going to get one. I wasn't willing to pay over 1100. Here going ole blue a dented beauty! I got her for 800. 74,000 miles. I will be pulling so much off of this car to put Into my truck. Let's see if this picture works. There will be more to come.

Nice! Looks like a police car auction with all those CV's. Are you in Seattle?

I know! Isn't it beautiful! The auction was in Seattle at the James G Murphy auction. Some crazy equipment being solid there, big rigs And tractors.

So last night I spent a couple hours cleaning up the bay in the garage where the truck sits. It has been sitting for while so it had accumulated quit a bit of junk on it. So it's all ready to be worked on. Now I am going to post a pic be warned! The frame is cut because I was dumbly going to put a camaro front clip with a Chevy drive train... But don't fret that plan has come and gone. So first order of business will be welding the frame back together. Next week the car lift will be open so it will be a tare down frenzy.

So this weekend Steve and I got to work and pulled apart the crown Vic. Took some work but was pretty simple.

Next order of business will be taking the motor and tranny out of the car and remove the ifs.

Stay tuned.
