FMX Trans shifter arm measurment needed

I am using a FMX in the 52. It has the factory shifter arm pointing down. For the Gennie shifter I bought I will need the shifter arm pointing up. Does anyone have any good shots of the stock shifter linkage pointing up? Found some googling but they are not very clean.

Also can anyone give me the measurements center line to center line for the shifter arm.

I plan on making one to bolt/weld to the original.

Here is what I am working with.

I would like to know as we'll, just picked up two FMX's to make into one. Both the Gennie and Lokar shifter require a up facing shift rod opposite the factory Ford design, the Lokar actually requires a replacement shaft be fitted to the FMX. Hoping to be able to weld or bolt on a vertical arm and not replace this shaft as the Lokar shaft has no provision for a kick down rod?
Anyone here with a Lokar shifter that can measure?
Have not purchased mine yet.

My original plan was a Lokar, and to mod there arm so I didn't have to open up the case, but I liked the Gennie better. No push button, side shift. Can use ANY shift **** I want. I am still waiting to see if the 16" is going to be long enough for my bench seat. I may have to go back and order a 23" shaft.

Back to the wiring job. Doubt I will have it done so I can crank it before I head back to work friday, but you never know. Got to find the wiring diagram for the 94-95 mustang starter.

I have an FMX in the 53 I'm building and had the same problem with the lever facing down. The downward facing lever is for a column shift. Floor shifter levers face upward. If you don't mind getting dirty, you can pull the cover and valve body out of the tranny and flip the lever up. The attaching point on the lever for the linkage will not be exactly in the stock position of an actual floor shift lever but it might work with an aftermarket shifter.

I'm using a shifter from a 73 C4 mustang. The D, 2 and 1 gates on the shifter needed some modification to make the shifter positions line up with the positions in the tranny.

Make sure you replace the o-rings and seals on the lever while you have it out.
