Haha, bonus points if you photoshop Dan's face into that pic.

thanks for using a fat rapey looking pic.....shaved head at 285lbs was a bad look for me.

remember this bronco i posted a while back? might possibly get it still for $500 with the 38s. buddy sold it to a coworker and he realized he bit off more than he can chew. back half of the tub is bad, like topper won't fit anymore bad, which equals 2x4 and a ratchet strap to me for a short term fix. hope the dude holds onto it for a few more weeks. have rent and some other stuff due right now that's gonna kill my cash stash.

Steve -"That long? Some men are longer than others."
Kris-"Has Cait been telling you stories about me again?"

damn, posted from phone last night at work but it's not showing....

specs are 4''&3'' 351m with like 5k miles or less on mild rebuild, c-6, 205, d44 front with 4.56 gears.......and 9'' rear with 3.50's....

which leads to these two questions; any specialty tools needed to regear a 9''? is it something the average weekend warrior/shadetree mechanic/alcoholic can do easily? i seem to recall something about 9''s being damn near idiot proof to regear compared to dana axles.....

and anyone have any 9'' diffs or 4.56 gears they'd be willing to part with for small amounts of money?

oh, and it has turdy ate inch ground hawgs....or 35's if you are any other tire manufacturer....

I will give you one easy trick on the Ford 9". If it has the small bearings (yours most likely does. darn few of the pickup rearends had the 3.06" side bearing) you can use the spindle nut wrench for the front 4x4 hubs as your spanner wrench. Fit's perfectly

I made one out of a round piece of 1/4" plate, 3- 1/4" bolts and a 5/8s nut. Works good.

If you get a socket like Rob suggests make sure you get one exactly like the picture- 4 exposed teeth. The past few times I've seen the cheepos in the parts store the 4tooth portion was recessed and it had 6 exposed teeth with slightly larger od

I haven't come across a 6 slot spindle nut with a diameter between a 44 and 60

9 inchers are easy as pie to work on. I was able to swap axle shafts on my old 78 with just a 4 way tire iron.
