Yes the arm looks like that one. The end of it is even with the steering arm so I don't need a dropped drag link. Yours must be raised more than mine because I don't think my front spring mounts drop the spring that much, and the springs sit completely flat. Of course yours will lose some of that arch once all the weight is put on them.

I think if I could find a pitman arm with a 2" drop that would be perfect.

post a pic of your set up, possible that you have a lift and someone did a steering correction on it.

This is a 3" block on the axle, skyjacker drop pitman, and the steering arm tapered from the top. It turned out to be a little too much so i went back to a factory pitman. When i install my new axle i will not use the 3"block, then I will most likely use the skyjacker pitman.

Depending on the lift. and if you need new drag link ends, changing the drag link from bottom to top will give you maybe 3".

What is that bowtie 8 lug doing in a ford picture? Those things are sneaking into the limelight.

Both of the pics shown have an arch to the spring, which gives room for the pitman arm and link end. My springs are flat which doesn't allow a seriously dropped pitman arm without it hitting. I am trying to get a flatter stock pitman arm so i can see how that would work. If needed, i may have to make up a drag link like Chris989 has where the pitman arm end attaches from the bottom, and the steering arm attaches to the top. Retapering the steering arm hole from the top may create a challenge though. I have a tapered reamer, but trying to do it while it's still attached to the truck may not work.

Chevy did use a larger TRE. The truck in the picture is an f250 with 6 inch skyjacker springs.

I did my while on the truck. I had it on stands without tires and you are correct, it is hard to do. If i had to do it over, I would leave the driver tire on the ground to hold the arm steady.

without seeing your set up its all just guessing, but from what you say it sounds like at one time your truck was lifted and someone has since pulled the lift out but left the drop pitman arm. in either case the drag link mounts from the bottom with the nuts on top of the arm. you will need to find an arm like the one i posted earlier.
