Anyone have a problem like I have, truck runs great and gets decent fuel mileage, problem is when I am on the road and accellerate to pass someone, if I push it to the floor hard it will shut down, I raise my foot up slightly and it will go around the cars, would like to fix this as it could become a problem big time.

Thanks my friend, I am in Rockmart, Ga. and the truck is a 2006 xlt supercrew 5.4 with automatic, it just has a big hesitation when I accellerate it hard to go around someone, I use this truck to pull a 26 H terry trailor and it runs fine under load except when you push it to the floor hard and fast. seems it could be a shutdown over reve switch bad, will not show a code,

OK, Well I am in Acworth, by the lake. I do not know a great deal about some of the newer stuff, but do enjoy a good challenge. I guess my next question is do you have a shop manual for your truck? If not, how long do you plan on keeping it. If you plan on keeping it for any length of time that is the one best investment that you can make. Especially if you are planning on doing any of the work to it yourself. If you need one, I would recommend going to Service Manuals, Owner Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, Service Bulletins - Helm Incorporated,
because they supply the dealerships with theirs.
