US Military Purchase Records
Hello FTE members,
so when I purchased my 1965 F-100, I was told this truck started its life as a military support truck here at a local army base. As with many of these old trucks the PO attempted a restoration and had the doors replaced so away went the Warranty Tag that has the paint/interior information.
I'd like to know if there are any resources that have historic military purchases so I can attempt to validate the lifeline of this truck.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

All the 11 digit VIN contains is the series code (1st 3 digits), engine code (4th digit), assembly plant code (5th digit) and the serial number, which is the last 6 digits.
1965 VIN example: F10BR639895 / F10 = F100 2WD / B = 300 1V I-6 / R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant / 639895 = 1965, assembled January 1965.
Warranty Plate located on left door face below the latch. OP's left door has been swapped, so the Warranty Plate info is only related to the truck the swapped door came from.
Ford THREW AWAY all the records for these trucks decades ago, so there is no way to use the VIN to get an original build sheet.
