If you look at the clear overlay just above the door sticker it self where the date is, very faintly there is the specific date.
Ill take a look again but everything in that area is so faded its hard to see anything. I had all I could do to make out the 2/85 marking. All I see on the pictures I took was "MFD BY FORD MOTOR CO. OF CANADA LTD.". Then the date code says 02/85. That's all I got.
I did some paint work lol. Top left corner you can see I circled where it will be.
It may not always be in that position; on my truck, the date is overlaid about where the '16x6' is for the front rims. I only ever noticed it because I was on my knees cleaning something out from under the front seat.
I would suggest shining a flashlight across the surface of the sticker at an oblique angle; that's the easiest way to read it on mine. I'll also note that on mine, the overlay text is rotated 90 degrees from the printed information on the sticker.
Yeah I don't see anything anywhere at all. I wonder if Ford could give me a build date if I supplied enough information. I mean I know what plant and month it was build, along with a strange combination of axles, so maybe. Idk.
Anyone know what the numbers in the box on the right are for? An the E4TA code (assuming transfer case)
The title is only as good as the person who entered the information. There is a definite difference in a 79 and a 80 Ford truck. The standardized 17 digit vin takes away the guesswork, but prior to that it's anybody's guess. CT won't even issue a title to pre-81 vehicles anymore, bill of sale only. ~Bill

The DSO box is for either special order equipment or Dealer accessory installation,
AND
The F & T numbers are the remaining reserve capacity in LBS that can be added to the axles in optional accessories (e.g. plow) without effecting the tare weight of the vehicle (and therefore requiring re-certification).
F = Front; T = Total. T does not equal Tare but Total. Tare weight is the total weight of the vehicle when empty.

That is the Engineering ID Number of that version of the label.

It has commercial plates if that means anything....is there anyway to decode that box?
I'll see how this week goes; have to look it all up in the book and it can take a while (depending).
Is there any way you can post a more head-on and maybe clearer picture?
I can try with my phone but I only have access to crap cameras and the tag is extremely worn out as it is. My eye can read it ok in person. If I have to ill go over the numbers in photoshop.
If I'm reading his post correctly, then the dry weight would be 6,512 pounds right? My dad said it weighed 6,600 off the showroom floor.
