My drivers side seat is not heating anymore for some reason. The light on the switch comes on but the seat doesn't heat. Can I get some pointers from you guys on what and how to check it out. I'm pretty much electrically challenged.

 

First thing I would check is for voltage coming out of the switch. Light on just means you have power TO the switch not coming out of it.

 

The heated seats in these trucks are notorious for the heating wires to break. Take the cover off and look for a broken wire. Solder and recover.

 

Go to the Excursion forum and click on the Excursion Tech Folder sticky thread. Scroll down to the Interior > Electrical section and click the "Heated Seat Fix" link.

i have a heated seat problem in girlfriends 04 escape the light on switch comes on for a second or two then goes out. would this be burnt wires also or bad switch . read link to to heated seat but all have lights that stay on. any ideas?
