Who can read the DTC codes???

Hi All I plan on buying an 04 6.0L Diesel, that has the Service Engine light on. Today I bought the ScanGauge II to test the vehicle, but I am now told in the 6.0 engine forum that the SGII may not read DTC on a 2004. I will try to read this 2004 in the morning, if it does not work, maybe I will take the SGII back to the store. This 04 has the Service engine light on, and I am not going to buy the truck if it is a big buck repair.
Anyone in the Los Angeles, Ca., area who knows of a shop that can read the codes?

Thank You
Kenny Lyon

Kenny,
If you decide to use a shop to read the data and help make your buying decision, you might try Advanced Diesel in San Pedro.
Mike is located at 11th and Gaffey, about 20 minutes from you.
I recently had my turbo repaired there and Mike, the owner, really impressed me with their work.

The Codes

Thanks SteveBricks, I will need the codes, start set up today. I used the SG II with out doing the setup on the 2004 and got code PO 675 for a Glow Plug or two other items that I don't know what they are. I also checked FUZD and do not understand. Read out first said, PID00= (JUST a BLANK SCREEN) then when I press the + button, four times, I get
" PID04=", and LOD = 46 I can't find this in the codes. Don't know what I am reading.

Thanks r2millers, I will need a local shop.

I need to do my homework.

Thank You for your help
