Buying my first Diesel,04, F250,6L

Hi All

I join this forum back in 2011, but never posted until now. Oct 30, I am buying a 04,F250,6L,2door, 8foot bed. I need to learn a lot real fast, and this site has it all. The vehicle has the service engine light on and I am buying the Scangauge2 to check it out. Big learning curve. I also want to buy a camper shell for it. I race motorcycles at Bonneville Salt Flats and am a member of the Bonneville 200 MPH Club. Lots of photos on my web sites. The most current photos are on my facebook page. I have gone racing with 16 lady riders, who have set 36 World Land Speed Records with my bikes. I have a hanger at Compton Air Port, you and your friends are welcome to stop by and check the bikes out. Call ahead.
Who in the Local los Angeles area is a good shop to use for repair work on the 6L engine?

Thank You

Hi Keny1 Welcome to FTE... well sure seem you have a diverse need for speed so to speak, but hey all good in my books. So your thinking of buying and 04 F-250 Diesel 6.0

You are in the right place to ask questions about it, the folks here have a lot of knowledge they are always willing to share with current and future Ford owners. You may want to post your question here 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

I am sure the folks in that Forum could give you a lot more answers about the 6.0 powerstroke and field your questions better than in this area of the site.

Hope that helps and don't forget to join the California chapter and ask your repair shop question there as well, some of the California chapter members I am sure are 6.0 owners and may be able to help you with finding a good diesel repair place.

Hope this helps and welcome to FTE!

Thanks

Thanks Pocketlint, for the warm welcome and the quick reply. I have already found the info on this site very important to me. I am buying the Scangauge2 before I buy the truck, and I will join the local chapter.
Thank You
