I just bought a 1997 E350 with the 7.3 diesel. It didn't come with cruise control. Are the factory wire looms pre-wired for it? Then I can buy the missing parts, Or am I SOL.?

 

It's easy to add. I think you can get a kit at a Ford dealer to do it. The changes are in the steering wheel, clockspring in the steering column, and the master cylinder. Nothing else changes, the engine is drive by wire so there is no servo or cable under the hood.

Ignore what is posted right above this. It's totally wrong for the 7.3L.

That connector is for the servo that pulls the throttle on a gas engine. There is no throttle on a 7.3L engine, and no servo under the hood for cruise control. This connector WILL NOT be there because it isn't needed with a diesel.

 

This is new to me obviously---and perhaps good news for adding CC!

Would those refit kits still be available?
