I got it and I want to get rid of it. I have a 05 F250 with a 6.0L and 185,000 miles and I have owned it for about 14 months. It did it for the first time in February and has done it several time since then. I have had it in the shop twice and they cannot find anything wrong or out of spec. There is a video on youtube, if you have never seen a "death shake", just look up Ford F250 death shake. Any help in solving this problem will be greatly appreciated.
The easy band-aid is a dual steering stabilizer, like one from BDS, that puts two dampers directly onto the tie-rod and back to the axle tube.
The hard fix is to figure out what's really wrong. Tire air pressure is a really common one, but a bad steering box or loose links could all combine to cause it.
I had this type of issue but only at lower speeds. I used a duel stabilizer setup which stopped the side-to-side wander. Might be a good time to consider a small lift.

Why would you want to do that? Doesn't a lift exagerate the problem?
Changing the track bar fixed mine. The rubber bushing at the chassis mount end gets soft. The bolt needs to be torqued to 400 ft lbs, not just hammered on with an air impact wrench.
Holy hell. I just watched a video of this "Death Wobble" and I can say that before I watched that I would have thought it was a little bit of shaking, but god damn man. Like a tornado going through. Unfortunately as stated above, I have heard there is no "true" fix for it, only throwing parts at it to try to change whatever angle is causing that.

Thank you for correcting me. I wasn't aware of the "What Wobble". But geez man, that is more then even just a death wobble. More like a alligator death roll. Hope you get it fixed Fm.
Check every steering joint in the front end!
All it takes is one loose or worn out joint to cause death wobble. Have someone in the truck turn the steering wheel back and forth while you look at every joint, it is fairly easy to spot which joint or joints have excess play in them.
When I used to run GM trucks with the IFS and 40" tires it was a nightmare because the tie rod ends would wear out quickly and cause a very violent "Death Wobble".
