Man, people asking a lot for a little back east. I got my 76 super cab for $700--drove it home also. After investing about $400 more (and more labor hours than I can count), she's a solid ride. If I told my wife I was going spend over three times that amount for a non op, I would be on the couch forever.

The options out here are pretty limited to say the least. You are typically looking at around $4000 +/- for a decent restorable truck unless you find a deal. Patients and determination are the biggest assets you can have when hunting in this area, otherwise you will end up paying a lot for junk.

The Pacific Northwest is home to lots of reasonably priced Fords.......Oregon in particular has tons of late 60's and newer, quite a few with reasonable miles. Ive seen a lot of F250 4x4's for under $2000, and bought a couple( So Far)

I'd have to agree, I've probably seen more dentsides in the Pacific/Inland Northwest than i have in any other region of the country.

I go in their once a week for a walk through & grab up anything good either way.
I've got a fairly healthy stock pile going on at the moment.

Interesting bed...

I think I'd like it better with a true flatbed. And with black stacks, not chrome.
