Title question

Good afternoon guys.... Been a little while since I added anything over here. But I will try to come over more.

I do have a question? I spent 30 minutes with Modot revenue today and want to know if I got the right info. I need to get a title for my jailbar. It was my grandfather's who passed away in 1968. The truck sat for years and now it is getting back on the road. My grandmother (I guess owned) it till she gave it to me in the early 90's. My dad and me were supposed to redo it then, but didn't happen. She passed away in 2002. My dad was/is the owner now I guess. So, I guess he needs to file for a new title? (MO form 2305) Then switch the title over in my name?

http://dor.mo.gov/forms/2305.pdf

Does this seem we are heading in the right direction? Any help would be appreciated...

Who was the T.O.D.? That person has to apply for a lost title. Then that person can transfer it to you.

That would be my father. So I am in the right direction. Is that the only form (as well as maybe death certificate) needed?

Call (573)751-4509 and when you get an operator, get her operator name and number. They'll direct you to a field office more than likely for processing the paperwork but can give you which forms you need to get to expedite the service.

Thread back to life

Hey guys, Just giving a title update:

I Decided to talk to my local county clerk and got a declaratory judgement started. We filled out the proper paperwork, and filed all the paperwork. I got judgement in my favor. All I need to do is get an Identification Number/Odometer Reading Inspection (ID/OD), then I can get a title.
