As Bobby pointed out, for the big trucks, the oil patch is where it's at. Besides down south, the 4 Corners is a good spot. Farmington, Bloomfield, Aztec, all along US 64 there are truck repair shops and used truck lots. Not as dry up there, and you can bet they've all been well-used. Not really on your way either...

Amarillo, Lubbock and Midland-Odessa TX are other spots, more likely on your way.

My wife is going to make me go out to Arizona I think a few times!!!
This time in nov. is for a few days. I plan on going for lunch for 4or 5 hours lol and look around the salvage yards down by the air field salvage / storage yards in Tucson this time .
I am planning a road trip out there sometime in Jan./ Feb. to bring out a peace of furniture I made my daughter. I m planning on getting there the fast way and then take the back roads / long way ( pasts 5,6,7 ....salvage yards) on my way home.
This trip may happen in April ?
I m just looking for old soiled ford gold!!

There's plenty to be seen.
I haven't spent tons of time out in SE Arizona but there's probably some great stuff. Maybe around some of those mining towns; Morenci, Bisbee, etc.
It seems like there is a wrecking yard on the northern edge of Lordsburg, NM (actually all of Lordsburg is pretty much a wrecking yard...LOL

Keep us posted on when and where you'll be passing through NM. I travel around the state quite a bit for work, who knows, maybe our paths will cross.

If you're out and about, Chris, you might as well cruise by my place and see what we can find for you here. I've got an F8 and a coe to drag home soon.
