Has anyone tried this conversion with the stock 3 on the tree?

I figure it will be to tight with a rag joint but imagine that a borgeson joint that is allowed to slide partly into the column tube might work. Hence having the bushing between column tube and steering shaft above the borgeson joint......

Any thaughts appreciated
