I heard nothing but bad things about the show. A lot of guys both Vendors and Spectators won't be going back next year.

During set up I had one of the builders from the J&P Cycle Build - Off ogle my bike while I was getting things sorted out and he asked "man...why don't you have your bike in the Biker Build off"?!?! "It would be a shoe-In"! I had to tell him that if I did that it would be a conflict of interest. He looked back at me slightly mystified with a "HUH"? on his face.
I had to explain that my motorcycle company has a division to it that is a wholesale distributor in the industry and we sell to J&P Cycle. I would look pretty bad if one of J&P's suppliers won their Biker Build Off contest. It was a magic moment when the "DUH" factor hit his brain. His expression went from huh? to Ohhhyeah...I see whatcha mean. Unfortunately that was the only entertainment had for me at this show. I've done a lot of show's all over the country and this one rates as the worst so far on my list of " if ya do this again I'm gonna b!tch slap ya....twice" events.

That blonde chick in the green shirt is stalking you. Might want to get a restraining order before things get really weird.

I know right? Damn kids....their like an American Express Card..ya just can't leave home without 'em.
Actually, as some of you know, that's my eldest daughter Carey who, with her husband and 7yo son, got to see the show on Sunday. I had no idea they were there. My youngest daughter and I were sitting in our truck in the howling rain on the streets of Seattle waiting to get in to prepare for move out. Needless to say, I never did get to see the show but, thanks to Carey and her shutter bug hubby, we were able to provide the pix you see in the link. Oh...and Joe who had entered in the Reto-Mod class with his Honda? Yeah...he got second place behind a Knucklehead Bobber.

I attended this one last year. If your really into what all the local Euro dealers have to offer than this show is for you. Me? Nah....not so much. I'd rather see what a guy in his shop or home garage can modify, alter or come outta the clear blue sky with. But that's me.

If you had it you could charge a princely sum for demo rides....I'd pony up.

Well boyz....it finally warmed up to the 40's up here so I put a shout out to our local S.I.C. riders for a Sunday island putt. 5 brave souls showed up. One on a Honda Shadow, another on a Triumph Rocket III, one H-D Sporty, a Heritage Softail and Lil John and I on our H-D hardtail customs. Rode from town to Roche Harbor for our usual donuts and coffee fix at the cafe to the slight displeasure of the yachting patrons. Then off to the westside and Cattle Pt. for some awesome views and the usual story tellin and bench racing. All and all a great day. Even took the panel out for a shake down run after putting the engine back together. I officially declare it fixed....finally.
How did you spent your Sunday?
